The International Society for Skiing Safety is a global, multidisciplinary institution that advances safety issues and injury care in snow sports through education, research and development in all related fields. Members include ski area physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, experts in biomechanics and engineering, epidemiologists, ski patrollers and snow sports manufacturers from all over the world. The ISSS holds an international research symposium every two years and its members are at the forefront of new developments in snow sports safety. Our most recent international research congress was successfully held in Bariloche, Argentina in August 2013. Our next meeting is scheduled for San Vito in the Italian Dolomites in March 2015. More information will be available in due course.
Financial support may be available for prospective students who wish to present their work at this conference. We will supply more information as we get closer to the conference dates.
